Gizmo, aka Gizzy, was adopted from Blue Cross 8 years ago. We sadly lost her to lymphoma this weekend. Such a unique and funny cat, she will never be forgotten. Especially as ginger girls are so rare! RIP x
Find out moreTzeitel was a small cat who seemed timid but could show her feisty side too, she would chase foxes out of the gsrden and put up a struggle when she had to the vet. She wss affectionate on her terms , she liked to curl up with me on the bed sometimes. She came into my life when a dog chased her into the garden one day and she scrambled in a bush to get away. I brought her indoors , where she hid for days behind my bed . No one knew where she came from so i gave her home , the vet thought she about four months old and i named her after Tevye's spirited daughter in Fiddler on the Roof , it suited her nature. My other cat became her brother.

But your body was too tired. I hope you are happy and brand new somewhere and I will see you again one day my darling. I love you. Sleep tight. See you again soon. Xxx

Find out moreWhen I adopted Katie, the shelter told me that she was not a lap cat. This was the understatement of the 21st century. But she was beautiful and curious and, as I discovered as we both got old together, stronger than anyone or anything I have ever known and that includes my Glaswegian mother born poor into a world with no welfare state and no NHS and who would spend her teenage years during a world war. I will return with more stories about my middle aged lady who became my old girl as I did myself.
Find out moreChewy will forever be my baby. I met her when I was 5 and I had been her fave in the house ever since. I thought I had at least 8 more years with her but she waited for me to get home from an expedition abroad to say goodbye. She used to chew everything and drink my water from my cup and she’d purr so so loud! Sometimes she’d annoy me and be needy, but I miss her neediness so much. I wish I could whistle so I could whistle how my dad used to when he’d call her for biscuits every night. I miss her, I’ll love her forever
