Cats Protection has worked with our corporate partner Ceva, manufacturers of the leading pheromone range FELIWAY® for over 10 years and we are so excited to begin a new partnership agreement for the next three years.
Ceva explains: “The incredible bond between people and cats can be a profound one. When Ceva had the opportunity to partner with Cats Protection we felt it was a perfect continued collaboration for us through our FELIWAY® range. We are thrilled to be working alongside the UK’s leading cat charity and excited to work with the incredible teams at Cats Protection again by developing our partnership over the next three years."
Ceva will donate 10p to Cats Protection for every UK sale of a FELIWAY® Classic or FELIWAY® Optimum Diffuser over the next three years, raising at least £45,000 to support cats and kittens in our care.
Magic Light Pictures is an Oscar nominated and BAFTA winning creator of family entertainment and brands. Magic Light Pictures is the creator behind Tabby McTat, a story of the relationship between a busker and his cat. We have been in partnership since 2023, and Tabby McTat and Magic Light Pictures are a special feature of our Little Paws Club.
The much-loved picture book character, created by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, helped launch the Little Paws Club, which helps children aged between five to seven years old to learn more about the wonderful world of cats. Children who join the club receive a welcome pack containing a Tabby McTat colouring sheet, a poster and six Cat Snaps cards including a special Tabby McTat card.
Each month they will get a mini-magazine containing fun articles, puzzles and craft activities. Tabby McTat’s Amazing Cat Facts also feature in the 2024 mini-magazines and there are three Tabby McTat special mini-magazines throughout 2024.
Petplan and Cats Protection have been in partnership for over 20 years and together, with our supporters and the adoption team, we have raised over £10 million for our branches and centres. It’s an impressive accomplishment and a testament to the great partnership between our charity and Petplan.
Petplan® provide every cat we rehome with four weeks’ free insurance, ensuring each cat has the best start when leaving Cats Protection’s care. Over 645,000 cats have benefitted from this free insurance since 2001.
In 2006 Pets at Home founded its own charity, Support Adoption For Pets, now called Pets Foundation, and both are big supporters of Cats Protection.
Pets at Home and Pets Foundation continue to support Cats Protection through their Community Partner Programme, grants programme and their Pets Club. Our centres and volunteer teams are able to hold fundraising and awareness events with their partnered stores and stores donate stock via the in-store donation bins. Their 2024 Easter Appeal raised just over £24,500 for our partnered centres and volunteer teams, and the 2023 Santa Paws Appeal raised over £62,000!
Pets Foundation’s support for Lifeline, our specialist cat fostering service for people feeling domestic abuse, is continuing to change lives. The Foundation is committed to provide significant, multi-year funding towards the service which aims to provide vital help to survivors of domestic abuse and their cats. Pets at Home have also supported Cats Protection by providing the space for a Cat Lounge in their Milton Keynes store.
We are also supported through the Pets Club which has to date raised a total of just over £1.5 million for us in Pets at Home vouchers to spend on whatever the cats in our care need. Purina has partnered with Cats Protection for more than 40 years and supports a variety of our initiatives and campaigns as well as supporting us financially. Purina also provides subsidised food for cats in our care.
In previous years this support has been focused on adoption and looking after the cats in our care, such as feeding, caring and any veterinary costs. In 2023 we worked closely with Purina to create our joint campaign; ‘Keeping happy cats in happy homes’. Through this campaign we aimed to help owners understand why enrichment is vital for cats’ wellbeing and happiness as well as creating practical and engaging materials. For more details please click here.
This year we will be working on an exciting campaign which will support our work to protect the bond between owners and pets that are facing difficult times.
For more information about the campaign, please visit the Purina website.
