identibase and Cats Protection have entered a five-year partnership to supply the charity with identichip microchips. As part of this collaboration, we’re working together to raise awareness of the importance of microchipping as a key element of responsible cat ownership. This includes educating cat owners about the legal requirement to microchip owned cats in England, which came into effect on 10 June 2024, and supporting veterinary professionals, pet keepers and animal welfare teams with the knowledge and resources they need to safeguard cats across the UK.
We’re also focusing on encouraging cat owners to keep their contact details up to date on microchip databases, ensuring they can be easily reached if their cat goes missing or is found.
Petplan and Cats Protection have been in partnership for over 24 years and together, with our supporters and the adoption team, we have raised over £13 million for our teams across the UK. It’s an impressive accomplishment and a testament to the great partnership between our charity and Petplan.
Petplan® provide every cat we rehome with four weeks’ free insurance, ensuring each cat has the best start when leaving Cats Protection care. Over 645,000 cats have benefitted from this free insurance since 2001.
Purina has partnered with Cats Protection for more than 40 years and supports a variety of our initiatives and campaigns as well as supporting us financially. Purina also provides subsidised food for cats in our care. In previous years this support has been focused on adoption and looking after the cats in our care, such as feeding, caring and any veterinary costs.
Purina are now supporting our Lifeline project, our specialist cat fostering service for those fleeing domestic abuse, for the third year in a row. Our partnership on Lifeline supports our work to protect the bond between owners and pets that are facing difficult times.

Cats Protection has worked with our corporate partner Ceva, manufacturers of the leading pheromone range FELIWAY® for over 13 years.
Ceva will donate 10p to Cats Protection for every UK sale of a FELIWAY® Classic Spray, FELIWAY® Classic Diffuser or FELIWAY® Optimum Diffuser over the next three years, raising at least £60,000 to support cats and kittens in our care.
Since 2020, Cats Protection centres across the UK have been using Kittilitt as their trusted wood pellet cat litter, and we’re delighted to announce our official partnership with the company. For every bag of Kittilitt sold, 12p is donated to Cats Protection, helping fund our vital work protecting and caring for cats.
We're excited to be partnered with Pet Health Club® to encourage regular vet visits as part of responsible cat ownership. Cats are experts at hiding illness, so routine check-ups are key to catching issues early.
Pet Health Club, the UK's leading pet health plan, helps owners budget for routine treatments to keep their cats happy and healthy. Together, we'll share tips and educational messages to help owners protect their cats for longer. Their generous support could also help us neuter over 400 cats, aiding our vital welfare work across the UK.

Pets at Home and Pets Foundation continue to support Cats Protection through their Community Partner Programme, grants programme and their Pets Club.
Pets Foundation’s support for Lifeline, our specialist cat fostering service for people feeling domestic abuse, is continuing to change lives.
