The final four, from a total of 85 which came to Cats Protection’s Belfast Adoption Centre, have been named Sasha (pictured), Fi-Fi, Leeloo and Arwen.

The Adoption Centre has been working with the ISPCA since December 2016 to rehome the large group of cats, which came from a former testing facility. As the cats have never been outdoors, they will require indoor-only homes but staff are happy to discuss this on an individual basis with prospective adopters. The cats, that are all between six and eight years of age, would make a great addition to any home.

Cats Protection’s Northern Ireland Operations Manager, Siobhan McHaffie said: “to have rehomed 81 cats in such a relatively short space of time is remarkable and a credit to our team here. Although it is quite daunting when we were originally approached to help, it’s been wonderful to see the public react in such a positive way and rehome these cats so quickly. We know there are prospective owners out there who will find wonderful homes for our final four felines.”
