If you’re a cat owner, you’ll know all too well that cats can be many things – it’s the small quirks in their personalities that make them amazing in their own way. Which is why we’re excited about The Amazing Maurice film, an animated feature about a cat who is miraculous in more ways than one.
Based on Sir Terry Pratchett’s children’s fantasy book The Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents, the animated feature boasts a star-studded cast including Hugh Laurie, Emilia Clarke, David Thewlis and Himesh Patel and follows Maurice, a streetwise ginger cat who comes up with a money-making scam by befriending a group of self-taught talking rats.
“We’re thrilled that cats in our care will benefit from this special screening of The Amazing Maurice film accompanied by a live orchestra,” said Richard Howard, Cats Protection’s Corporate Partnerships Manager. “We help around 450 cats a day and the money raised will mean we can help even more. We’re delighted to be working together to spread the word about feline welfare to give all cats a better quality of life.”
Grab your tickets now to experience The Amazing Maurice film in all its glory and you’ll be supporting cats at the same time, as the 11am performance will be in aid of Cats Protection, the UK’s largest feline welfare charity.
