In memory of Maddie
Maddie came from Cat’s Protection. In Bridgend. “Here’s the lady herself,” they said, as they placed the carrier into our car. Who would have known that she would be, by far, The dictionary picture of godsend? A sweeter cat as never roamed Our world, a fleeting feeling of a feline-good: She truly knew how to listen and she understood The touch of felicitous purrfection that makes a house a home. Maddie liked the fuss, sunbathing and the brush. Fish soup and the things she could do to a string! And yes, to anything smaller than a moth – big was not her thing. Above all, she taught us never to rush. She lives on now with those that loved her in the halcyon May Before the rainy Bridgend June when she was brought to us. This is the lady herself – our Madeline – she did enjoy a fuss, The brush, the sun, some string and our love every day.
