In memory of Bonnie
Bonnie the fearless adventurer, so curious and interested in everything new that she came across. She was often on the roof of the bungalows chasing pigeons and magpies or straining to look over the fence at the neighbours. Once or twice needing to be rescued from a flat roof until she worked out how to get down herself. She loved to play and would hunt us both, being full of energy all morning before collapsing in our arms for an afternoon snooze. She would use my arm as a pillow whilst I tried to work and once too big to lay in front of the keyboard would sleep in the window or on the desk, staying close to me. She loved play dens in any format, a discarded brolly being her favorite. Great cover for pouncing on unsuspected feet or ankles. Being so friendly, she was admired by all who met her and deeply loved at home. Her fur was like silk and her purrs soft. She was not very vocal instead appearing ninja like, by our side to investigate what ever was going on. We would carry her from room to room and she loved that, taking full advantage of our soft hearts. Bonnie was only 16 months when hit by a speeding car. Her loss has affected us greatly. Thank you for reading about her, she still sits on my desk but the casket is not as warm or easy to cuddle.
