In memory of Bootsie
Our Bootsie came to us in 2013 with a friend of my wife who could no longer keep her. Her husband had Alzheimer's disease and Bootsie had separation anxiety and would meow and random times of the day or night so this was not a good combination. It was love at first site and we bonded with her quickly. Over the years I gave her a nickname like I do all my cats, hers was Gorms. She changed a lot of hearts of people that did not like cats. She loved people. One of her favorite things was to grab a dog toy and holler at the top of her lungs. It could be pretty comical! July 2024 she started loosing weight and was food aggressive, I took at is as hypothyroidism and started giving her pills which seem to work. The first week of November her abdomen was bloated and she had labored breathing. I took her to the vet in two days. Most Vets in my area are booked 2 to 3 weeks out. Her prognosis was devastating she had cancer. As any loving pet parent would do, we decided to let her go so she would stop suffering. We love you Gormie and we will see you again...
