7th February 2019
There will be plenty of fun for all including games, arts and crafts, Valentine’s Day card decorating, rock colouring, face painting, glitter tattoos and refreshments.
“The event is open to everyone and is free to attend,” said Carly Bradbury, Community Neutering Officer for Cats Protection.
“There’ll be plenty for all the family to enjoy and you’ll also have the opportunity to talk to your local veterinary nurse.
“The importance of cat neutering is something that we are keen to highlight this Valentine’s Day – so we will be offering free cat neutering vouchers to anyone living in Houghton Regis. This will be for a limited time only and vouchers can be redeemed from 15 February until 31 March at participating vet practices. We are also able to help with transporting cats to the vets.”
Neutering reduces the risk of cats contracting serious diseases such as Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) that is primarily contracted through fighting or mating behaviours. The charity has seen a rise in the number of cats infected with FIV in the area so is keen to help neuter as many cats as possible.
Carly said: “We look forward to meeting the cat-loving public at what promises to be a fun-filled event!”
As well as providing lots of educational and fun information, there will be a limited number of free cat carriers to give away along with a free prize draw to win a hamper for your cat.
