In memory of Whiskey

Whiskey 12th December 2006- 16th July 2025 has been with me since I was nine years old. Through school university and the time after. She has been by my side for most of my life. A timid little cat who was always shy of strangers but would always want attention from her chosen people. When younger she would climb about onto shed roofs, in trees. She'd sit on the edge of the sofa. Fall off bit keep going back. She had a range of meows from quiet meows to almost roars and each had its own meaning. As time went by She ventured less outside and spent more time inside. But always wanted a cuddle and her favourite pate foods. She'd greet me with a hello meow and munch down her breakfast. She'd impatiently wait for us to have finished dinner. Sometimes sitting on my lap as she did. She'd try and snatch meat out of sandwiches. In recent times she loved to use her toy Wiggle- as a cushion. Wiggle being so called because that's what it sounded like she said when touching it with her paw. You have been with me for 18 years 5 months and 2 days and I look at where you slept, expecting you are there. I think that you are in the garden and will be back in soon. I see your empty bowl wishing I could give you another meal. Farewell my sweetest angel. Your pain is over and you are at peace. Until we meet again. Xx
