In memory of Queenie

In celebration of Queenies life, 2009-2025 When I was 21 and living in Streatham my neighbour said “I have a bathroom full of kittens!”.  An hour later I’d adopted Tarquin.  Decided he was lonely then picked up his sister the week after.  I named her Queenie after Queen Elizabeth II.  She looked like a bumblebee and sometimes Gizmo from the Gremlins.  A timid and unsure girl at first, but came out of her shell in midlife.  A loving cat who filled my home with joy for the 16 years I was blessed with her.  Queenie liked; Sitting next to mummy- Not on!- Next to. Sitting on everything else- including wire hangers (comfy choice) Watching melodrama on TV Helping the NSPCC stair climb challenge! Licking condensation off windows (sophisticated lady) Wolfing tuna with zeal  Her little safe-space box Squeaking as she snored Surprising her brother behind a door Looking down on you through bannisters  Squirming in the sunshine on the roof Cuddling mummy’s elbow at night I will hold you in my heart forever. Mummy misses you darling ♥️
