In memory of Max

Our sweet boy Max, the rescue cat who rescued us. It was love at first head boop when we met you and your brother at the Haslemere Cats Protection shelter back in January 2020. We had 6 wonderful years together, you kept us sane during a global pandemic, you showed us unconditional love and made us smile even on our darkest days, and you never left our side. We miss you so much, your loud engine purr, your adorable head boops, falling asleep and waking up next to you. You would always let us know when it was time for cuddles, sometimes with a squeaky little meow, and other times by shoving a laptop or keyboard out of the way so you could climb into our laps. You were friendly and loving to everyone you met, a true gentleman who was loved by all who were lucky enough to know you. You were always so playful, and so full of love. You’ve been gone for almost two weeks, and the world is a darker place without you. We are heartbroken without you, letting you go was the hardest thing we've ever had to do. But we take comfort in knowing that you are no longer in pain. We’ll remember our 6 years together for the rest of our lives. Thank you so much for letting us become your family, and for the happiness and love you gave us. We’ll always be grateful to you, and we’ll love you always. From Mama and Papa xxx
